FIFA’s Disciplinary Committee has found licensed Players’ Agent Leon Angel guilty of a violation of 19 par. 1 and art. 22 par.3 of the FIFA Players’ Agents Regulations and point 3 of the Code of professional Conduct.

The case was referred by The Football Association to FIFA in June 2011, and relates to the transfer of Heurelho Gomes to Tottenham Hotspur from PSV Eindhoven in July 2008.

Mr Angel was ordered to pay a fine of CHF 7,000 and the costs of the proceedings. In addition, Mr Angel was issued with a warning in accordance with art. 10 a) and art. 13 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code.

FIFA also informed Mr Angel that a further breach of the Players’ Agents Regulations will result in more severe sanctions to be determined by the FIFA Disciplinary Committee, which can lead to a suspension or even a withdrawal of the players’ agent licence.
