Major international tournaments, and the festivities that accompany them, would simply not be possible without volunteers. The FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup France 2018 will be no different, with more than 600 volunteers needed in the host venues of Concarneau, Vannes, Dinan-Lehon and Saint-Malo between 5 to 24 August 2018.
Being a volunteer is a unique opportunity to experience a major international competition from the inside. Not only does it allow you to play an important role in its staging, it also gives you the chance to share an historic moment with a diverse range of people.
To become a volunteer, there are just three requirements. You must:
. Be motivated to play an active role in the hosting of the event
. Be at least 18 years old
. Be available as a minimum on matchdays and for your training
Come join us for what will be a great journey. This is your chance to shine, so become a volunteer!
Programme launch and recruitment
The Volunteer Programme launch takes place on Monday 22 January at the Stade de la Rabine in Vannes and will be followed by a recruitment period that will run until April 2018. Following registration, all applicants will be interviewed by a member of the Volunteer Programme team in one of the host venues.
A group gathering for the 600-plus volunteers will be arranged, enabling those selected to meet each other and get details of the operational areas they have been assigned.
At the beginning of summer 2018, all selected volunteers will be given general and specific training at the various host venues.
From 5 to 24 August 2018, more than 600 volunteers will be deployed across 13 functional areas for this great event.
A thank you!
An event will be organised at each venue to thank volunteers for their participation and collectively bring the curtain down on this wonderful adventure.
